The internet is an unreliable thing.
So. I have certain vices when it comes to the internet. These consist of:
1) Reading Fic
2) Saving Fanart (mostly pr0n)
3) Watching Vids
4) Not bookmarking any of the above
Which results in the 5th thing that I tend to do on the internet: running around like a headless chicken trying to find items 1 to 3. It's especially annoying because I have a good memory. A good VISUAL memory. A clear mental image doesn't count for anything if you don't remember keywords to go along with it. Honestly Google - when are you going to roll out the app that lets a person search by images that match the mental image in his/her brain?
But what about fic? I can hear you saying. Do you remember that in images too? Well, yes and no. I tend to remember the formatting, the plotline, but never the title and the author.
Guess what search engines usually want when you look for fic? No prizes for guessing!
Still, it's ok if items 1 to 3 exist somewhere. Sometimes, on a rare occasion I do remember enough to look in the right place. Like, if I remember seeing something in my inbox, that narrows it down, because I only feed a few lists to my email. So there I was, looking in the right place, only to discover that what I was looking for had been deleted.
*insert sadface here*
Honestly, I should just change item 4 to "saving everything like a lunatic". That ought to save me some time.
