I have rediscovered the Tell a friend/Share this Entry function on DW (either a text link or a mail icon at the bottom of posts, depending on what layout you're using). I have found it very useful for forwarding posts to myself that I want to reread - once I memory something I only come back to it a gazillion years later (Note: an exaggeration, but probably true in Internet time).
Yay DW functions!
In the interest of celebrating DW more, have some meme.
2. Why did you choose your journal name? What does it mean?
I've always gone for journal names that could be vaguely a real name. That's why some of my other handles like moonfrost (which I'm awfully fond of) weren't options.
Since I'm pretty rotten with names, I've always had a few on stand-by. Faye Chua is one of them, and the most realistic of the lot. It's the name I used for my FF.net profile, and also the name I fantasised writing under someday. XD It has my favourite elements - a first name with a meaning I like, and a surname that starts with Ch- (weird, I know, but that's how I roll). I got the name Faye from a baby name book, and Chua is the surname of one of my school seniors.
But by the time I got to DW the name "faye" was taken, and I didn't want to use faye_chua. "fay" was taken too. Since the e was optional for me, I then thought of my journal as fay(e), which was parsed to fay_e.
I wrote a few possible meanings of Faye under my profile, pick the one you like =D
