1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you're writing about fictional places)?
4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
Oh man, do I have to? To be honest, I can't remember and I don't want to find out. My first few stories were all narrations while I was playing with my toys - I would record the story and act out the actions with my toys at the same time. My parents STILL have the tapes - they think it's cute, but I find it embarrassing.
My first story in written form was when I was in primary school. I don't remember those either, because my teacher loved to pick my stories to read to the class, which I found embarrassing. I was already a nerd - now I had to be a teacher's pet too? The teachers would make us sit on the floor for these readings, and I would make sure to sit myself in the middle so I could stare at my knees, stick my fingers in my ears and go la la la so I couldn't hear my story being read.
I was a very easily embarrassed kid.
My first story for fandom was a Sailor Moon fanfic, which of course involved a Mary Sue. It was written in, bizarrely, a mix of English and Chinese, the latter because it was the language I watched Sailor Moon in. It explored the possibilities of other heavenly bodies having Sailor Soldiers, and when canon started to go into that too I stopped writing it. I still have the notebooks (which were appropriately Sailor Moon themed) but don't remember the order they were supposed to be read in.
And much much later on, I published my first fanfic in the Harry Potter fandom - a strange little story about the story of Tom Riddle mirrored to that of the Gingerbread Man. Yeah, I'm weird. =)
