This is extremely rare as I usually talk through any ideas I have with the ladies - it helps me figure out what it would eventually look like in words and iron out anything that's weird in there.

But well, I've got a scene meant to be fic for hallowd, just that I am fighting with the structure. Rather than tell you about it, have a snippet! Set in the Desert Rangers verse:

A sudden depression in Ichigo's bed woke him up. He cracked open a groggy eye to see Rukia stepping over him to the window. As she reached the sill, he grabbed her ankle.

"Let go you idiot," she said, trying to jiggle her foot free.

"Where are you going?"

"Renji's calling us." Following her finger, he sat up to look out of the window. Even in the gloom, Renji's red hair was obvious. His own orange hair must have stood out too, because Renji grinned up and waved. "Yo Ichigo! Thought you were going to sleep your life away!"

"I'm tired," Ichigo grumbled. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in Soul Society?"
