I'm sorry I had to.

I admit that I was nervous about this movie from watching the trailers, especially since it seemed to highlight THE ENTERPRISE CRASHES. What this movie failed to tell me that the Enterprise was cracked to reveal the heart within the body - the crew that drives the ship.

What we learned from this: EVERYONE IS COMPETENT AND BEAUTIFUL AND I AM IN FUCKING LOVE WITH ALL OF THEM

- Bones-Spock dynamic. This review summed up Bones-Spock in the movie best: "The dynamic here isn’t about these two coming to an understanding or learning that they’re friends. They are already friends. They’ve reached an understanding ages ago. These two push each other’s buttons in ways that only people who have been working together for three years can get away with."

- HEEL FACE TURN BY THE GOOD GUYS!!! DONE WELL!!! I loved that Kirk got to trick one of the villains of the movie to FIND HIS CREW

- Jaylah is actually fucking amazing and I will fight you on this. Also I loved her dynamic with Scotty.

- We actually see Idris Elba's face??? And he is amazeballs as usual. (Also he seems to be in everything lately *chin stroke*)

- Uhura and Sulu getting to be the Scooby gang! Also I love that it was highlighted that they're technically competent but in different areas.

- This review explains why I'm having difficulty ranking Star Trek Beyond vs Star Trek 2009

- Sabotage was absolutely awesome where it was featured. And it didn't occur to me until I read this: best use of music in a space battle since Macross

- I WANNA WRITE SOMETHING LIKE THIS
