Long time ago, I used to learn Japanese in school. I had signed up to do Japanese (against my parents' wishes, they wanted me to study French) because I was curious about the language. It was similar to Chinese, yet not. I was also getting more interested in manga, and thought that learning Japanese would be a step in the right direction. Long story short: I had to drop the subject because I was failing it. Ever since then, I've always wanted to pick up the language again.

Last week, I dusted off my Japanese textbooks and did a flip through. I've also arranged with my dear ladies things to finish by next week: Two rows of hiirangana (vowels and those starting with k- ).

I'm really looking forward to this. Checking in again with the results next week!
